Jimmy and the Parrots

Mostly I like to take photos of objects or animals for a few reasons, objects for the control of whats going on and so that I can take my time and think the shots though. With animals I like to see how they inter-act with the camra on such a curiso nature. I try to to take photos of people unless they are candid for how the people react when they don't know they are being shot.

On July 11 while I was walking to Penn station in NYC I happen to run across a show going on at 1 Penn plaza and I had to stop and take some shots of the band playing. The band that day playing was Jimmy and the Parrots that did Jimmy Buffett covers among some other people; mixed with there own songs and guess singer Lisa Bouchelle.

This is Jimmy Maraventano Sr the lead singer and front man of Jimmy and the Parrots. Does a nice over of Buffetts' Magaritvaille.

This is Hal B. Selzer the Bass player of Jimmy and the parrots and he gets to sing with Lisa Bouchelle during Brown Eyed Girl.

This is Lance Hyland Stark the drummer of Jimmy and the Parrots. At one point during the set he took off into a running drum solo, that was litterly running around the plaza.

Jimmy Maraventano Jr is one of the few sons that I know of who play in the same band as his father.
